This past year we have heard some incredible, funny and even inspiring stories from riders about how Taxi Magic has impacted their lives.
• A woman who fell in love with and married her driver
• A college student who found himself in an awkward place after a party and needed to make a quick esacpe.
• A deaf person who now has an easy way to order taxis.
To celebrate stories like these we are launching a Taxi “Magic Moments” Video Contest.
Have a Taxi Magic story to tell or know someone who does? Tell us about it in a short video, and the five people with the best stories will win free taxi rides for a month! It doesn’t have to be fancy. iPhone videos are great. We’re just looking for creativity and fun.

This past week, with a little help from Apple, Taxi Magic sky-rocketed into the Top 3 most downloaded free travel apps in iTunes behind Google and Southwest Airlines.
After receiving a demo of the latest version of Taxi Magic, the marketing team of Apple put Taxi Magic on the “New and Noteworthy” front page of iTunes. The placement caused Taxi Magic to jump up the rankings over some great brands like Yelp, OpenTable, Urban Spoon, and more. Here’s a screen-shot:

Based on the strong success of Taxi Magic on the iPhone, Taxi Magic has revamped the registration and payment process for BlackBerry. Previously, when a consumer downloaded Taxi Magic for BlackBerry, they were required to enter a credit card and use the RideCharge Mobile payment feature for paying for taxis.
Now, credit cards are no longer required! Riders can choose to pay cash for their ride instead of loading a credit card.
BlackBerry users now have the best of both worlds – use RideCharge Mobile Payment with eReceipts when needed or pay the driver with cash.

We are in public beta testing phase with next version of the BlackBerry application. New features include:
- Free booking (no documentation fee) when paying driver cash
- Ability to set a default city and state to make entering addresses easier
- Faster performance
- User interface updates for supporting Tour, new Curve 8900 and other high resoultion BlackBerry devices
- Edit contact information
- Add multiple credit cards for electronic payment
